Talk to a Community Health Worker

Support after a spinal cord injury

After a traumatic SCI, social support is critically important. Trauma can leave lasting marks on a person’s mind, heart and body that can result in an inability to trust easily. A community health worker (CHW) is someone with similar lived-experience of spinal cord injury trauma and can offer guidance and emotional support in the form of empathy, empowerment, trust, and care. A CHW will help individuals connect to community so they can thrive.

Our Mission

Our mission is to ensure everyone who sustains a spinal cord injury has the care, community, and resources they need to thrive.
