The Oregon Friends of Jung are hosting a lecture called “Living in Fire: The Wisdom of Uncertainty” (https://ofj.org/event/living-fire-wisdom-uncertainty/). This event will be in lieu of the SCI/D Forum that usually occurs the 2nd Thursday of every other month.

What does it mean to be human in a chaotic world? How are we to cope? There are times, personally and collectively, in which we fall back into chaotic states: of anger, fear, confusion, ignorance, meaninglessness. In moments of chaotic breakdown familiar and cherished positions become unraveled. This lecture explores mythic and psychological patterns to help guide us through uncertain times.

JERRY M. RUHL, PH.D, is a psychologist, teacher, and author living in Longmont, CO. Previously, he was a trustee of the C.G. Jung Society of Colorado. More recently, he served for six years as Executive Director of The Jung Center in Houston. He lectures nationally and maintains a private therapy practice in both Boulder, CO, and Houston, TX. He also provides depth coaching via the internet, and is the co-author with Robert A. Johnson of three books: Living Your Unlived Life; Contentment: A Way to True Happiness; and Balancing Heaven and Earth.

This is a public lecture. It costs $20. If you’d like to go but can’t afford the ticket email contact@oregonsci.org with your name/number to request a ticket. Thanks!
